-After months of training the team was finally able to race again defeating Novi 25-30 at Huron Meadows! Results are posted on athletic.net and photos will be posted to the BXC facebook page. Thank you to all our volunteers at the finish assisting athletes and ensuring accurate results. Thank you volunteers along the course taking photos and videos of the race. Finally one big group thank you to everyone that followed the procedures and guidelines! It was a great team effort from coaches, athletes, volunteers, and spectators that produced a safe and competitive environment!
-Wednesday, the 2nd the boys race Romeo at Huron Meadows. Brighton runners will be racing in the Checkerboard singlet and should arrive at 2:00. The gun goes off at 3:30. There may be some minor tweaks but overall the procedures and guidelines remain the same from the Novi meet. Spectators must remain in their vehicle and away from the course. Anyone looking to get closer to the action is encourage to volunteer via the Sign Up Genius. There are a couple positions remaining for Wednesday.
-Practices around the Labor Day weekend are optional. Athletes heading out of town should enjoy their getaway and run on their own. Athletes staying in town should be at practice.
-The September/October practice calendar is posted here. Just like the summer schedule, this is tentative and subject to change. Please always refer to the weekly updates for the most accurate schedule.
-In 2016 all the parents came together to purchase a new tent for the boys XC program. Back then the Stewart family graciously decided to take the lead on fostering the tent over the next four years. They communicated with me about bringing the tent to our away meets and provided it a good home over the winter, spring, and summer months. Now the tent is need of a new home. Please contact me if you're able to help out.
-We have some extra BXC gaiters available for parents to purchase. If interested send cash or check to practice this week. Cost is $10.
