Brighton Boys Cross Country

-The outdoor track and field season is just a few weeks away! The consistent efforts of our athletes this winter will pay off in the spring and fall. All runners that are not participating in a winter sport are highly encouraged to attend our optional off-season workouts. -We're looking for athlete volunteers to help out with the Mother/Son and Daddy/Daughter Sweetheart Dances on February 20th and 21st. This is an excellent way to give back to the community at a popular famil

-Our athletes' off-season attendance through December was very strong. The investments in the program and in their teammates over these winter months will lead to great outcomes on and off the course. All athletes not competing in a winter sport or training for their spring sport are highly encouraged to attend. -We had nearly 40 athletes and alumni at Ultimate New Year! This time together is one of the highlights of the indoor season. -The Michigan Indoor Track Series (MITS)

-Optional Indoor Season workouts begin Tuesday, December 2nd! This opportunity to train with teammates has been invaluable to the sustained success of the program. Every athlete not participating in the BHS winter sport is highly encouraged to attend! -While there is no official MHSAA indoor track season (yet), athletes do have the opportunity to compete in the Michigan Indoor Track Series (MITS) meets. -The team finished 4th and Zach Wyderko earned All-State finishing 18th at the MHSAA State Champioships! Results are on athletic.net. -Many great things to be proud of this season. This was the program's 7th Regional Championship in 8 years, 10th consecutive year qualifying for the state meet, and the 5th consecutive top 4 finish at the state meet. Our athletes eagerness to train with their teammates during the off-season is the main factor in the program's sustained success.

-Monday our JV squad finished their season strong at the Livingston County JV Invite Monday with many course bests and Friday the varsity squad won their third consecutive Regional championship with 4 athletes earning All-Region honors! Results to both meets are posted on athletic.net. -Practices are optional this week for runners that are not on the 'State Team'. Anyone needing to make up missed practices must do so by this Thursday. -This week's practices will run a bit sho
