-This year's Middle School XC Camp was a great time for all! Results to the 2K race are posted on our Middle School Camp page. Credit for the success of this camp goes to our high school volunteers. Their efforts make this camp possible. Week 4 Photos

-This Friday is the Camp Time Trial. The top 25 athletes based on time from the July and Camp Time Trials (that have met the time standard) receive the first invites to camp. This year appears to be a bit of an outlier as there remains plenty of opportunities for first time qualifiers. Please let Coach Elsey know if a qualifying athlete is unable to attend camp. There may be other runners that would love to the opportunity attend. Team Camp Info

-Our first official practice is Monday, August 17th. Prior to practices beginning (earlier for those attending Team Camp), updated physicals must be uploaded and registrations must be completed through Final Forms. In addition, the team fee though Zeffy must be submitted.

-Athletes new to the program will need to purchase their uniform bottom. The Nike 10K Running Short and Nike Dri-FIT Half Tight are both available in our BSN Spirit Wear Shop. We have a limited number of the Nike 10K Running Short available for purchase for $21 through Zeffy.

-We will be scheduling a day next week to put away the high jump and pole vault pits. Attending juniors and seniors will receive their uniform after the mats are away.

-Running specialty stores are providing deals for high school athletes in the upcoming weeks.

-Running Lab in downtown Brighton is holding a Cross Country Kickoff Event on Sunday, August 9th from 10-4.

"All middle and high school athletes will receive 15% off full-priced trainers and spikes. In addition to the discount, athletes can also bring in an old pair of athletic shoes to recycle or donate and receive $20 off a new pair of Saucony trainers or spikes. We’ve hired a professional photographer for a free media day-style photo shoot. Athletes can wear their school uniform or team gear, or simply come as they are. Each participant will receive free digital images. We’ll have extra staff available throughout the day to keep everything running smoothly and ensure every athlete receives a proper fitting. If you know of students who may be unable to purchase footwear because of financial circumstances, we have partnered with the Yoga Strong Foundation through its Carole’s Kicks program. The program provides free shoes, socks and a professional fitting to any student in grades 5–12 in Livingston County who needs them. No paperwork is required, and no questions are asked. Sports bras are also available if needed. If transportation is a barrier, the program can also help arrange another way to provide the fitting and footwear. -Gazelle Sports in downtown Northville is holding their Gear Up Team Weekend August 14th through 16th. They're offering 20% off trainers, spikes, apparell, and accessories.
