-The team defeated Canton and Novi in KLAA competition Tuesday and won the D1 race at the Holly Invite Saturday. Results to both meets are on athletic.net. Canton/Novi Photos

-Tuesday the team races Northville and Salem at Hudson Mills on the North Course. Dismissal is at 1:30, departure is 1:45, boys race at 4:15, and girls race at 4:45. Checkerboard singlets. Course Map

-The Waterford Fall Classic is this Friday at Hess Hathaway Park. Dismisal is 11:30, departure is 11:45, boys Open (JV) Race is 2:00, and boys Varsity (top 10) race is 3:00. Awards to the top two teams and top 30 individuals in the varsity race. Black singlets. Course Map.

-Please note there is a $6 per car fee to enter the park and dogs are not allowed at the meet.

-October 15th SMS XC/TF coach Colleen Monroe is going to be honored on the BAS Distinguished Alumni Wall of Fame. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m. in the BHS Steam Center. Members of the Brighton XC community are welcome to attend.

-Colleen Monroe (1982) – Colleen “Tokai” Monroe is being honored for her exemplary achievements as an author. She is the author of many nationally bestselling children's books, including A Wish to Be the Christmas Tree. Her stories have been read publicly by President George W. Bush, Katie Couric, and Mitch Albom. Monroe has also served as a cross country and track coach for many years, is a member of the district's support staff, and has contributed in many ways as a volunteer within the community.

-A member of our BXC family is searching for volunteers for the Detroit Free Press Marathon. This is an excellent way to earn volunteer/service hours and support the running community.
