Updates - Week of 10-30-17

-This past Friday the boys placed 3rd in the MHSAA Regional with 3 runners earning all-region honors! Results are posted on athletic.net. The 3rd place finish qualifies the boys for the MHSAA State Meet at Michigan International Speedway. This is the first time the boys have qualified in back to back years since the mid 90s.

-Wednesday, Nov 1st, select runners will compete in the Post a PR Invite at Huron Meadows. The field will be split in half with the first boys race (slower race) beginning at 4:15. The second boys race (faster race) begins at 5:15. Runners will be in school for the full day and will wear their black and orange singlets. The top 100 finishers in both races will medal.

-Practice will be short this Thursday and Friday.

-Friday, November 3rd, varsity runners and alternates will go out for team dinner with the girls team. Details TBA.

-Saturday, November 4th, the boys compete in the State Meet. Boys D1 race at 3:30. Top 30 individuals medal and are considered all-state. D1 and D2 awards begin at 4:00. Varsity and alternates will leave from the BHS field house at 10:00. MHSAA.com will have online live timing and live team results as the races are run. -Uniform return for all athletes competing this week will be Wednesday, November 8th at 3:15 in the BHS field house lobby. Any athlete needing to leave before 3:15 may drop their uniform off in the AD office. Runners must return their bag, two singlets, shorts, pants, and jacket.
