-The boys team had a strong showing at the Averill Invite with the Varsity A team taking first in the Large School Division and the Varsity B team team taking first in the Small School Division! Results are posted on athletic.net.
-Tuesday the boys open division competition traveling to Cass Benton to race Northville and Canton. Athletes are dismissed at 2:00 with the bus leaving at 2:15. The boys will race at 5:00 girls race at 5:30. The runners will wear their orange and white singlets. Parking will be congested with another meet on the same course running at 4:00 and 4:30. -Friday sub 20 min runners will race at the Spartan Invite. The boys will be competing in the Spartan Elite division. This a very large meet with several races each with 30+ teams (41 teams competing in the boys Spartan Elite division). Dismissal is at 10:15 with the bus leaving at 10:30. The varsity will race at 1:10 and JV race at 2:20. Awards to the top 3 teams and top 30 individuals are at 3:30. JV awards to the top 50 individuals will be passed out in the chute. -Spectators at the Spartan Invite will be charged $7 for parking in the MSU commuter lot. A free shuttle service will run from the commuter lot to the course.
-Athletes who are not competing Friday are expected to train with their teammates. The workout was included in the weekly r-mail to the athletes.
-A quick reminder that athletes are expected to remain at meets for the duration and are strongly encouraged to ride the bus home. No problem if something comes up or they have another event and they must leave early. Otherwise all runners are expected to support their teammates at the meet. These "down" times while experiencing the "runner's high" are the perfect opportunity to strengthen bonds within the team. Thank you for supporting this!
