-The boys finished 2nd and had 6 All-Conference runners in the KLAA Championships! This is the highest team finish in the conference meet in 22 years. The strong competition within the KLAA helped Zach Stewart improve his school record time by over 23 seconds! Results are posted on athletic.net.
-As runners finish their season they are encouraged to take two weeks away from consistent training. General rule of thumb is to take the first week completely off from running. The second week athletes should run as much or little as they want. Runners should return to consistent training during the third week. Athletes that participate in a winter sport should focus on that sport and do everything they can to be great at that sport.
-All practices are optional for non-varsity and alternate athletes. Any unexcused absences must be made up at these optional practices.
-Members of the team will race in the End of Autumn Open at Huron Meadows on Tuesday, October 23th. The boys race at 4:15. Medals to the top 50 will be distributed in the chute. The team will wear the orange and white singlets. Varsity athletes and alternates will practice at Huron Meadows and support their teammates during the race.
-The MHSAA Regional is Friday, the 26th. The top 3 teams and top 15 individuals will qualify for the MHSAA State Meet at MIS the following Saturday. Dismissal is tentatively scheduled for 2:00. Boys race at 4:00. The Regional Championship trophy and medals to All-Region (top 15) runners will be presented at 5:15.
