Off-Season Updates 3-24-19
-41 mid-distance and distance runners will be training and competing on the track this outdoor season! KLAA competition kicks off at Howell on Tuesday, April 9th. The complete schedule is posted on athletic.net.
-CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! The BHS track and field program is hosting four home meets this season and needs your help. Volunteers are needed to assist with timing, concessions, and field events. No experience is necessary. Volunteers may sign up here: MEET VOLUNTEERS
-XC runners not racing on the track are highly encouraged to join another spring sport. The base fitness gained from consistent training and competition will be a tremendous benefit when returning to XC training this summer.
-Members of the boys and girls XC programs participated in the Busch's Milk Drive. The drive supports local families in need by helping generate donations of milk for area food pantries.
-The teams will have three more opportunities to give back to the community this spring and summer. On May 19th, athletes will be volunteering at Gleaners food bank in Howell. This will coincide with a virtual food drive. To volunteer athletes can sign up here. For details and to contribute to the virtual food drive click here. On June 22nd, the teams will assist Huron Meadows park staff with trail clean up/maintenance. Lastly, the teams will participate in the Livingston County Day of Caring on August 7th.
