-The boys team repeated last years performance at the Averill Invitational by winning both the Gold and Silver Division races at Possum Hollow! Results are posted on athletic.net.
-Tuesday the team opens division competition at Huron Meadows against Plymouth. The girls will race at 4:15 and boys will race at 4:45. Runners will wear the Orange and White singlets.
-Wednesday the team will make their way to Scranton to support the young runners in their first meet of the 2019 season. High school athletes will need to be picked up at SMS after practice.
-Friday sub 20 minute runners will race at the Spartan Invite. The boys will be competing in the Spartan Elite division. The bus will leave at 10:00. Varsity will run at 1:25 and JV will run at 2:20. Athletes competing in the varsity race will wear a varsity singlet. Runners in the JV race will wear the Black and Orange singlet. Top 3 teams and top 30 athletes in the varsity race and top 50 athletes in the JV race will receive awards. Spartan Invite Course Map
-Spartan Invite spectators will be charged $8 for parking.
-In a couple of weeks the boys and girls teams will be participating in the Busch's Fall Milk Drive. This is an excellent way to give back to the community while earning some funds for the BXC programs. All athletes are encouraged to sign up. Note that these are a busy weeks with the Waterford Mott Fall Classic and Legends the first week of the drive and homecoming and Portage the second week of the drive.
-On Friday, September 27th the top 7-10 runners will compete in the Waterford Mott Fall Classic. Saturday, the 28th the same group of athletes will travel to Dewitt to preview the Regional course. Afterwards the athletes will return to Huron Meadows to support their teammates at the Legends Invite.
