-The program had over 30 athletes (and several alumni!) join the fun at Kensington Camp and over 20 workers show up to volunteer at Huron Meadows! The desire to be with their teammates and willingness to work are good signs for the upcoming season.
-Wednesday's single track trail is at the Highland Rec Area. The trailhead is on Livingston Rd. just west of Duck Lake Rd in White Lake. This is a very challenging hilly/technical 7.5 miles of trails.
-Our Huron Meadows meeting location. The team will meet at the Acorn Ridge picnic shelter near the Nuke'Em court for the remainder of the summer.
-Friday's July Time Trial at Huron Meadows is the first opportunity for runners to qualify for Team Camp in August. Athletes that run under 15:30 on our time trial course will be eligible to attend camp. The top 25 athletes based on time between the July Time Trial and Camp Time Trial will receive the first opportunity to sign up. Team Camp is one of the highlights of the season and is often a transformative experience for first time attendees. 2024 Team Camp Info
-Next week is our Middle School XC Camp. The more high school athletes we have volunteer the better!
-Thank you to everyone that has completed the registration and uploaded physicals to Final Forms all registrations and physicals must be complete/uploaded prior to the start of season.
-Coaching staff updates.
-Coach Monroe unfortunately is unable to coach with us this season. She joined the program in 2019 and has been an integral part of the program's success these last few years. Her ability to connect with both our younger and more experienced athletes make her a great coach that will be sorely missed. We wish her all the best and hope to see her back with us soon.
-We have two BHS XC alumni returning as volunteer coaches this fall. Josh Partridge (class of 2010) was a team captain and has remained close to the program over these many years. Ashton Krill (class of 2022) also was a team captain and was a part of our two most recent state championships. Both will be great assets to the kids and our program.
