-We had multiple team building/bonding events this past week. The time together outside of a typical practice/workout setting is huge for developing relationships that last well beyond high school. Week 6 photos

-The fall parent meeting was Wednesday evening. Hopefully all questions were answered and some insight was gained on how to support our athletes. Parent Meeting Packet

-Runners attending Team Camp will meet at the back parking lot between the baseball field and tennis courts at 8:30 Monday morning. They should be dressed ready to run. Everyone attending camp must have all their Final Forms registrations completed and permission/consent forms turned in prior to departing for camp. We expect to return around 3:30 Friday.

-Athletes not attending camp received their workouts in this week's athlete update and are highly encouraged to continue meeting up with their teammates and continue training.

-The first official practice is 3 p.m. at Huron Meadows on Monday, August 18th. A current physical (dated after April 15th, 2025) must be uploaded and both the parent and athlete registrations must be complete on Final Forms to practice with the team. In addition, the team fee through Zeffy must be submitted prior to competing on the 22nd.

-Athletes new to the program will need to purchase bottoms for their uniform. The solid black Nike Men's 10K Short or Nike Men's Team Dri-Fit Half Tight are acceptable options. We have limited pairs of the Nike team shorts and one L pair of the discontinued New Balance team shorts. The shorts we have are available for $21.

-Our first meet of the season is our dual with Pinckney next Friday at Pinckney High School. This is a brand new course. The race starts at 10 a.m. Athletes should plan to arrive at 8:30. Remaining uniforms will be passed out at practice on Tuesday/Wednesday prior to the meet. PHS XC Course Map

-The SMS XC course needs attention to get ready for the season. Volunteer athletes are needed the morning of August, the 19th. Details to come.

-Team Pictures are Thursday, August 21st at BHS. The team will meet for practice at 2:30 to be ready for pictures at 3:45. Preorders are available through the VSN website.

-Labor Day weekend we will have optional practices on Friday, the 29th and Monday, the 1st. We tell the kids that optional means, "If you are in town, get your butt to practice."
