-The boys won the Waterford Mott Fall Classic at Hess Hathaway Park! Results are posted on athletic.net.
-Last Tuesday's dual with Northville and Plymouth was postponed to this Tuesday, September 28th at Cass Benton. The girls race at 4:45 and boys race at 5:30. The bus leaves at 2:50. Athletes will wear the Checkerboard singlets.
-Saturday, October 2nd the Varsity B team will race in the Legends Invite at Huron Meadows. There are multiple divisions racing Saturday. We are in the Gold Division races. Runners need to meet at 11:15. Expect a lot of traffic. Varsity races at 12:45 and JV races at 1:40. Awards to the top 75 individuals in each race and top 3 teams. Athletes not competing must attend to support their teammates.
-Each year, millions of Americans face hunger. The pandemic has only increased the number of those in need turning to food banks. Brighton XC has partnered with Michigan’s dairy farmers and Busch’s Fresh Market to help donate milk to those in need.
Stop into Busch's in Brighton to raise a gallon with us! Not only will you be making a difference in your community, but Brighton XC will also receive a Chocolate Milk Drive Grant if they meet their goal of gallon donations before October 10th! #BuschsMilkDrive #MilkMeansMore
-The team will be working some U of M athletic events this fall to support the program. We are scheduled to work the home football games on Saturday, October 23rd and Saturday, November 27th. We received clarification that volunteers younger than 16 may participate as long as they're in high school. Each shift is approximately 8-9 hours long. Please note the kickoff time hasn't been set for the October 23rd game. Athletes can sign up here. Details are here.
-October 9th members of the team will race at the Portage Invite. Only runners that have run under 19:00 for 5K will compete.
-Awards Night is Monday, November 22nd in the Maltby Cafeteria from 7-9:30ish.
