-Our varsity B team finished 3rd at the Legends Invite on Saturday with several course best performances. Results are on athletic.net.

-Tuesday the team competes at Cass Benton with Novi and Canton. The bus leaves at 4:15. The girls race at 6:00 and the boys race at 6:30. Expect parking to be a challenge, as we are the third double dual of the day at Cass with Dearborn/Wayne Memorial/Livonia Stevenson racing at 4/4:30 and Howell/Northville/Plymouth racing at 5/5:30. -PRACTICE SCHEDULE CHANGE- Friday's practice at Bishop Lake will end at 4:30, if not earlier.

-The Portage Invite is this Saturday, October 4th at Portage West Middle School. All our athletes will attend. The bus leaves at 10:00. Varsity (top 7) races at 2:00 and JV races at 4:00. Awards to the top 50 individuals and top 3 teams are at 3:30 for varsity and 4:45 for JV. Varsity will wear varsity singlets. JV will wear their Black singlets. PND Richards Spring was the largest race but Portage is by far the largest meet we'll attend this season with 17 races throughout the day and ~35 teams in the D1 race alone. We plan to setup the team camp at the south end of the campus, near Moorsbridge Elementary. Meet/parking info and the course map are posted on the Portage Invite website. This is a long day, athletes should pack a lunch and extra snacks.

-The season is winding down quickly, especially for our less experienced runners. The Livingston County JV Invite (October 20th) will be the last meet of the season for athletes not traveling with the Regional and State teams. Practices after the JV Invite are optional for runners no longer competing. Any unexcused absences must be made up during these optional practices.

-All healthy athletes are encouraged to continue training with their teammates through the duration of the season.

-A member of our BXC family is searching for volunteers for the Detroit Free Press Marathon. This is an excellent way to earn volunteer/service hours and support the running community. More information is located here.
