-The team won the Gold Division race and finished ninth in the Silver Division race at the Averill Invite. Results are posted on athletic.net. Photos
-Tuesday is our first KLAA meet against Northville and Salem at Huron Meadows. The boys will meet at the pavillion by 3:15 and race at 4:45. Course map
-The Transportation Fee has been posted to Final Forms. The fee is a fraction of the cost to transport our athletes via bus. We ask that all athletes have the fee paid by September 12th.
-The top 12 athletes compete in the Spartan Invite on Friday at Forest Akers East golf course in East Lansing. Dismissal is tentatively set for 9:20 with a 9:40 departure. The team races in the Spartan Elite division at 1:10. Runners will wear varsity singlets. Trophies to the top 3 teams and medals to the top 30 individuals. Course Map - Spectator Info
-Athletes not competing at the Spartan Invite are encouraged to meet with their teammates to run after school.
-Saturday athletes outside of the top 12 will compete in the Huron Invite at Willow Metro Park. The bus leaves at 7:30. Varsity races at 10:10 and JV races at 11:15. Athletes will wear their Checkerboard singlets. Awards to the top 3 teams and top 25 individuals in the varsity race. Medals to the top 5 individuals in the JV race. Runners that competed in the Spartan Invite will travel to the meet to support their teammates. The course is located at the Chestnut picnic area. Course map link.
-A member of our BXC family is searching for volunteers for the Detroit Free Press Marathon. This is an excellent way to earn volunteer/service hours and support the running community. More information is located here.
-Senior Night is next Tuesday, the 16th at Huron Meadows. Both the girls/boys programs will recognize our senior athletes. Parents of seniors are encourage to hang up their senior's banner along the fence near the Sunset Ridge pavilion.
-Next Friday, the 19th the top 10 athletes will travel to Illinois to compete in the Peoria Notre Dame Richard Spring Invite. We'll depart at 9 a.m. Friday. Saturday's race is at 8:40 a.m. CST. We plan to return to Brighton by 7 p.m Saturday night.
-Looking ahead, Awards Night is Sunday, November 23rd in the SMS cafeteria at 7 p.m.
