-The indoor season is well under way! We've had a solid group of runners training consistently since beginning a few weeks ago. All workouts and competitions are 100% optional. Runners should bring hats, gloves, and layers to run in. While training outdoors is vastly more enjoyable and encouraged, athletes do have the option to train inside.
-As we continue to build our base, some runners may be noticing aches and pains. These athletes should see the trainer to help determine if they should continue running, cross train, rest, or see a doctor. Runners cross training are welcome to use the ellipticals and stationary bikes in the BHS weight room.
-Athletes looking to compete have that opportunity at the MITS meets throughout the winter. Please let Coach Elsey know if/when runners are planing on racing. A complete schedule, meet results, and state qualifying standards are posted on the MITS track website.
-The weight room will be open to BHS athletes most days over winter break from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A complete schedule of days and hours is posted on the weight room doors.
-The Resolution Run and pancake breakfast afterwards is New Year's Day at 11 a.m. All XC athletes are welcome to attend.
-Good luck to all the runners competing in the pool, on the ice/court/mat, and down the slopes this winter!
